*DermAid 0.5% cream is lanolin-free, paraben-free and chlorocresol-free to avoid secondary sensitivity reactions, in those people who are already sensitive to these ingredients.
Product Description
Ego Dermaid Cream 0.5%
The hydrocortisone in DermAid 0.5% cream has been dissolved in a special occlusive cream base. This enables it to penetrate the skin faster than the dispersed hydrocortisone in all other hydrocortisone products.
*DermAid 0.5% cream is moisturising, which helps prevent dry skin.
*pH 5.
For the temporary relief of:
*Minor skin irritations.
*Itching and rashes due to eczema, dermatitis, soap, detergent, cosmetics, jewellery, insect bites.
*Non-infected anogenital itching.
*Sunburn.
Consumer Advice
*If you have dry or sensitive skin such as eczema or psoriasis, the alkalinity of many soaps can irritate your skin. It is therefore important to avoid soap and use a soap alternative such as QV Wash or QV Bar.
*For skin that is also itchy, cleanse with a soap alternative such as Pinetarsol Gel or Pinetarsol Bar to relieve the itch.
*Moisturise with QV Cream.
*Prolonged use of hydrocortisone is not advisable. Use alternatives such as Egoderm Ointment or Egoderm Cream for continued control if long-term therapy is required. Egoderm Ointment and Egoderm Cream are cortisone?free.
*To avoid flare up of your condition it is important not to discontinue use of DermAid 0.5% cream suddenly. A gradual change to Egoderm Ointment or Egoderm Cream may be necessary.
*If a candidal infection is suspected in the genital area, anal or groin regions use FungoCort 0.5% Cream instead of DermAid 0.5% cream.
*If symptoms persist discontinue use and consult your doctor.
*Hydrocortisone is Category A for use in pregnancy.
Directions
Apply a small amount to affected skin 1 - 3 times daily. Cleanse with a soap alternative such as Pinetarsol as soap may irritate the skin.

Warnings
Do not use in the eyes. Do not use children under 2 years old unless recommended by a doctor. Do not use ofr acne, under waterproof bandages or for more than 7 days unless recommended by a doctor. If irritation occurs, discontinue use. For external use only.
